Today I visited the gym again to do a little something for my stamina. In the studio, I then asked myself how long the low-cost studios in particular could keep their prices up given the exorbitantly rising energy costs and how many members would quit if the prices were significantly higher! After exactly one week I was finally back in the gym today. Something always comes up at the moment. I really need to train more. Deadlifts were on the training plan again today. I managed to lift 117.5 kg twice, my attempt to lift 125 kg unfortunately failed! Pity! I wish you a pleasant Thursday!

The most uncomfortable part of the week is over. I am very happy to have a normal weekend again after 3 weeks. This weekend there is a big family reunion that I am really looking forward to. That means a lot of work, but the house is finally really full again. I wish you a great Thursday.

I started the new week really well. The working day was very pleasant and passed quickly. I tried something new at the gym today - rack pulls. Surprisingly, I managed 2 reps with 308 lbs. I was very pleased.

Friday was a very busy but pleasant day. I was able to get home from work around noon, so I had a long afternoon. First I mowed the lawn of the now very autumnal garden. With the pleasant temperatures and the fresh autumn air, it was really fun. After gardening, I went to the gym to train my legs. Squatting went 2 reps with 140 pounds today. On the leg press, I could lift 500 pounds 3 times. Very satisfying. I wish you a great weekend!

Today I have to get upset about how we are being ripped off at the gas stations here in East Bavaria. In Bremen you can fill up with diesel for €2.06/litre. In Passau, the same amount costs €2.24. The ended tank discount of 17 cents has been added again since the beginning of the month, but diesel cost €1.90 per liter about 3 weeks ago. If you add the 17 cents, we would be at €2.07. Why is the price now 17 cents higher when crude oil prices have fallen 25% since mid-June. We are being ripped off completely defenseless and the state is not helping its citizens at all!! Luckily we can drive here at the border to Austria and fill up there for €1.90/Litre. Fill up once in Austria and save €25!

Monday - training day. Today deadlift was on the training plan again. It didn't feel bad, but I still had last week's squat in my legs. There was no new record, but it doesn't have to be in every training session. What I always like about the fitness studio is that you encounter a lot of people that you have met there over the years and that you can always exchange a few nice words.

My weekend was very short this time after the six-day week, so today was all about relaxation. Sunday was rainy, but after all those hot weeks it felt really good to lie on the couch, read a book and enjoy the sound of the raindrops. Today's Formula 1 race was a bit disappointing. Unfortunately, Red Bull's dominance is so great at the moment that the races are becoming completely boring. A development I don't like that at all!
