My release schedule prioritizes what I call “sequential diversity.” I try to work with women with a variety of body types and ethnic background, and I try have the release schedule reflect that. Hey y'all! I said this at the beginning of the year and haven't mentioned it since, but I think I need to OCCASIONALLY charge a small PPV fee for *all* subscribers for new content. By "occasionally" I mean not more than once a month.
So far this year I've done it twice; once in January (for "Desi Girlfriend's Secret Desire" starring Vanessa Jay) and once in February for ("Titfuck Endurance Training #1" starring Hailey Rose).
There are two main justifications for this:
1. I have been a consumer of OF content long before I became a creator. As such, I know--and pride myself on the fact--that the overall value of my OF is far beyond what most creators offer. How many of you have subscribed to creators who sell things like 2-minute long solo videos for more than $20 with not even a preview, on top of a subscription fee that's more than $10? *Occasionally* charging PPV for new content would bring me closer to OF norms while still being FAR cheaper than what passes for normal.
2. I've been pouring money back into my business to deliver more content with bigger names. I try to price myself competitively with the porn studios whose work I admire (and that I'm trying to influence--T3 Titfuck Technique needs to be seen by everyone!). But, without the economies of scale that they have, running a small business like this has much thinner operating margins.
TL;DR: I need to modestly increase prices so that my revenue closer matches the value I believe I bring, and *occasional* PPV-only content is the least disruptive way to do that.
Why am I telling you all of this and writing so much about it?
Well, because something else that I believe sets me apart from most creators is that I want to actually be honest with my customers. I have no interest in milking people for everything they've got. Rather, I have an interest in running the exact sort of business that I myself would like to experience as a consumer, and soliciting customer feedback provides a sort of sanity check against my own biases.
Normally when soliciting customer feedback I rely on simple poll questions, because their quick nature facilitates more participation. However, recent experience has taught me that some people don't even bother to read the poll posts in full before responding, despite my frequent adjurations to "READ THIS FIRST". So this time I'm relying solely on people who actually read the post, because it is these most engaged customers that I care the most about.
So if you've read all this way, please leave a comment that begins by telling me your favorite fruit, and then tell me what you think of the idea of being sent one PPV per month that's $5-10: do you understand where I'm coming from and envision yourself buying occasionally?
