⌚ Memory Lane 7 ⌚
We both thought that our first outing for photos didn’t go well. My sweaty face from the hot day did not make for pretty photos. But we decided to try again, for boob’s sakes! 😅 So for our next outing we decided to go to a botanical garden. We’ve been to one previously and it sounded like a good idea!
We had a photoshoot even before we got married in a botanical garden. I was only 18 years old! So the logical conclusion was to go to another garden for the second attempt. And I have to admit, this time we did much better. I still felt awkward, I still didn’t know how to pose, but there was an improvement.
This is a scanned photo from our first photoshoot. We were just dating then and I didn't show my breasts, the little of them I had! This was still a film camera! How old I am!
I think it is here that I fell in love with waterfalls. This is not a natural waterfall, but it still looks and sounds spectacular. Every time we visit here we run for the waterfall first. Here we will spend a lot of time before exploring the rest of the park. There is also a hidden spot here were we used to have lunch…and other things!
But it will be a few years before we will "Hit the road Jack". During this time we just explored parks and gardens on foot.
For those of you who might not notice, photo 8 is the one where I'm 18 years old!!! 😅😅😅
Next Thursday I will reveal how and where we were caught the first time! Stay tuned.

🌲 Persian Carpet 🌲
Sitting on a thick layer of pine needles is so much better than sitting on a Persian carpet. It is so much softer, it smells so much nicer and the color is just this this amazing red-brown color.
But I’m still very scared or the creepy crawlies scurrying between my legs and butt!! I’ve been doing this for so many years, and every time I sit down, it is with a lot of trepidation. But then, to conquer our fears, we must do what we fear I guess! 😲😅

This bridge was part of a MTB bike track that was often used by bikers. It crosses the small Apies (Monkey) river. It was used less and less due to criminal activity in the area. That led to no maintenance being done, and now the sad fact is that this bridge is gone! 😥 Fallen into the river below and swept away to be forgotten in the streams of time...

This was on a gravel road just to the east of Barberton. We can spend hours just driving through the pine forests. The smell of the pine trees is just amazing. It was so relaxing, I had to have a nap on some hard wood! 😅🤣

Our little hut over the water. We discovered it years ago and made a point of having lunch and a beer here whenever we were in the area. But now it gone…gone…gone! But we’ve started to accept that some of our favourite place might be gone when we return. Part of life I guess!

A small ruin next to the road we were driving on. Nothing spectacular but at least I show a lot of leg! I also like the bright green against the reddish color of the wall.

This was actually close to the Zwakala Brewery 🍺 right next to the dirt road we were traveling on. My husband just like the trees next to the road. He thought it would make a great background. I do think the photos came out OK. 👍
I haven't used this dress in a long time. At one stage down the road my husband decided that black dress, skirts and shirts just didn't photographed well. Looking at these photos, I think he got it wrong! 😅

A follower asked me to post photos of my “Little Black Dress”. I looked through all my photos and couldn’t find one photo of a “Little Black Dress”.
What I did find was photos of my “Big Black Dress”! 😅😂😂 I do hope that this will suffice! I mean it is twice the size of a “Little Black Dress”, so it must be worth twice the niceness!! 😂😂😂
This was just north of a quaint little town named Haenertsburg. It is situated on the edge of the Great Escarpment in the Limpopo Province. This area is also the Magoebaskloof area.
It is very hilly there with lots of mist and rain. We often have lunch in the town. Here we discovered a local beer that is just awesome. It is called the Zwakala Brewery and our favourite beer was of course their "Naked Ale"! We are so predictable😅. It is a refreshing beer with lots of flavor that you can drink all night. (Nonnie the beer reviewer🍺😂😂)
