When Mormons get married they are suppose to wear "garments" aka holy underwear (the bottoms were basically thin bikers shorts and the top was a thin shirt) that you wear under your clothes 24/7 (except when showering or swimming). So basically I was never fully naked. I was a good little Mormon girl that blindly followed all the rules so I wore my garments religiously. Early in our marriage my sex life with The Fox was basically non existent. It's hard to feel sexual when 1. Being taught so much shame/guilt around sexuality growing up and 2. Wearing garments and feeling like that's the only type of underwear you can wear (FYI they are not sexy AT All 😆)
I got to a point in my life that I started to question things and take my blinders off, and I am SO incredibly happy that I did. It was a lot of work to unwire all the purity culture conditioning that I was raised with, but now as I walk around naked as much as possible, or wear the underwear/lingerie that makes me feel sexy it makes me smile because I feel so free and happy! 🙌
