The reality is, today is not a good day. I usually keep personal stuff off this platform, but this is too important not to share my devastation. I now live in a country where abortion access is no longer protected under the right to privacy. Clarence Thomas was quoted after today’s decision, saying “we should reconsider all of this Court's substantive due process precedents, including Griswold, Lawrence, and Obergefell." These decisions prevent states from banning contraception, LGBTQIA+ sex, and same-sex marriage. Controlling women’s bodies is only the start of it. Black, Brown, Indigenous women’s bodies will be disproportionately affected. If you love me, or love women, please hold space for us today.
