Added 2022-03-12 19:32:32 +0000 UTCUpdate .. i went to my appt, my ear looked bad and looked like it had a scar so the dr recommended i see an ent right away, that I couldn’t wait, that I had to see one asap, I had to pay for an ent out of pocket.. incredibly expensive but I had no choice… having no insurance really screwed me, so my ear is perforated I have swelling and liquid and my ear is just severely damaged .. idk how this even happened if I’m honest. He had to vacuum out the liquid which was very uncomfortable and had me cringing bc it just felt so strange and unpleasant when he finishes I felt dizzy and off balance it sucked .. He also put some medication that was a powder that felt like pop rocks in my ear to help my ear with the swelling. I’m back on antibiotic for another 10 days along with an anti inflammatory antibiotic otic drops that has steroids to help with the swelling, I have to take care of my ear and protect it as much as possible so that the perforation heals.. if not , he said than I’d have to see another specialist that would have to manually close the wounds in my ear. Which this for me is not an option. I want to be able to heal this on my own. It’s was a very stressing Friday… and I feel really sad about this like I thought I was closer to finally healing.. but now it’s going to take even longer… and the issue was worse than I ever imagined.
