π Day 8 π All in all it was an amazing day. The only problem the whole day was calves that came to visit in the early morning and damaged the gazebo. Nothing major, just an inconvenience. The rest of the day was absolutely amazing. We drove up Saniβs Pass at a slow and leisurely pace. We had a great lunch at one of the picnic sites along the route. Itβs been a long time since weβve been here, and the bottom of Saniβs Pass up until the South African border post has been tarred. It make for a quick and easy drive. Itβs only the last 7 kilometers that is still gravel and a bit of a challenge. We woke up this morning with a view of the snow on the mountain. By the time we got to the top, some of the snow has already started to melt. So, on the top of the pass there was some snow, but not too much. I again posed at the frozen waterfall and this time it was not as cold as the first time. On the trip down the pass, we had a nice beer at an awesome lookout spot. Sorry, we had coffee, not beer π . On the way down, we had savoury pancakes and cheesecake at a small coffee shop. The pancakes were awesome, the cheesecake was not the best! I've had better cheesecake! We arrived back at camp tired, but satisfied and just glad the gazebo is still standing!
