Hi all! Heres a little vlog of my day at the Getty in Los Angeles! I went to see a playing of a documentary about a long lost AND RECOVERED Willem de Kooning painting! My friends family member had affiliations with the docu so it was so cool meeting and talking to everyone after. The story behind the painting is actually SO SO COOL. It showed an on going investigation of a married couple who were the suspected thieves. Although the couple had long passed away, their lives were heavily self recored. These people were AMAZING. They traveled the world together, experienced parts and cultures of the world most people don't know exist, recorded all of it, and even wrote stories about their adventures. The coolest part was how the documentary painted this couples psychology through their photos, family relations, and life. They were TWISTED but also so admirable?? I lowkey was in awe at how much they loved each other. I loved everything about it and seeing the painting afterwards was so so sureal. As soon as it gets sold for streaming, I'll drop the link for you all because I NNEEEED u guys to see it. also so random but I met actors from Always Sunny In Philadelphia cuz 1 of them starred in the documentary as a reanactor.
